New Products
With the majority of pinewood derby races occurring in the next few months, we are introducing four new products to help you reach maximum velocity:
- Pro-Axle Guide - This new tool from Derby Worx ensures accurate axle mounting in slotted blocks, and serves as a gap gauge for kits with axle slots or axle holes. As an added bonus, the tool provides support to the wood around the axle slot, minimizing the risk of damage during axle insertion. You can read more about the Pro-Axle Guide in the feature article, or you can Click Here.
To thank you for your continued readership, we are offering the Pro-Axle Guide at a special price. Click Here to find out more.
- Extreme Car Plans II (a.k.a. Extremer Car Plans) - Ten brand new extreme designs by T. Dean White! I especially like 'Fast Talker', and 'Think Fast'.
Click Here to see all of the new designs.
- MV Basic Car Kits - We now offer a basic car kit for use in your organization's pinewood derby race. These kits have a quality, BSA-like block, 4 PineCar Wheels, and include our Speed Axles (no burrs or crimp marks). These are a great replacement for PineCar or Awana kits. A discount is offered when the kits are purchased by the dozen. To find out more, Click Here.
- Super Speed Axles - These after market axles are formed to resemble BSA axles (including a point), but with a slightly tapered head, no burrs and crimps marks, and a grooved shaft to minimize wheel-axle contact. With a nickel plating, these axles are ready to enhance performance when used with BSA, PineCar, and other wheels. For more information

Reader Feedback
I received the following comment from Richard Sanner regarding the article entitled "The Dark Side: eBay Cars":
"The other 'dark side' I have ran across in scrounging around the Internet for pinewood ideas that surprised me a little (but shouldn't have) is web sites that have a front end designed to show up under searches for 'pinewood cars' or 'pinewood derby', etc., but have a back end containing what is euphemistically called 'objectionable material'. If you haven't offered a caution regarding this issue to your readers, it might be an idea to consider. Fortunately my Internet access has filters to block this material and alert me to site contents before I enter. But some of the home computers a young person might use to find some "fun tips" to improve their car might not."
