Extended Dragster

Get out of the way! THE DRAGSTER doesn't waste any time getting down the track. Note how the rounded edges give this version a sleek appearance.
In addition to the car kit and basic hand tools, you will need the following supplies to build THE DRAGSTER:
- 1/4" Brad Point or Forstner drill bit (hardware store item)
- Coping saw or another type of saw that can cut a curve
- Flat and half round file, and a Shoe Rasp
- Wood chisels (1/4" and 1/2")
- 3-1/2 ounces of segmented lead weight with adhesive removed. These plans assume that each segment is 1/4 ounce and measures 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/8".
- Drag Racer decal sheet was used to customize the car in the photo
- The extended wheel base can be created by either cutting new axle slots with two hacksaw blades, or by drilling axle holes with the Pro-Body Tool. Instructions and templates are provided in the Car Plans 2 booklet.
