Description

The wheel mandrel is used to safely hold a Pinewood Derby wheel for placement in the chuck of a drill. The wheel can then be sanded and polished while spinning.

The mandrel fits most brands of pinewood derby wheels, however, some wheels are equipped with a wheel bore that is slightly smaller then the mandrel screw. The Pro-Hub tool can be used to ream out the wheel bore so that it fits on the mandrel.

The mandrel is shipped with some sandpaper. We recommend that the sandpaper be used for sanding the car body. For sanding wheels, use 600 grit wet-dry sandpaper (use it wet).
