Inspired by the movie Robots, THE SPEED BOLT is a whimsical car that is decorated and weighted with items from your local hardware store.

In addition to the car kit and basic hand tools, you will need the following supplies to build THE SPEED BOLT:

5/16" and 3/4" Brad Point or Forstner drill bit (hardware store item)
Two, 5/16" x 1-1/2" hex bolts (hardware store item)
Two, 5/16" x 3/4" hex bolts (hardware store item)
Sixteen, 3/4" standard washers (hardware store item)
Miscellaneous hardware items
Various washers, screws, a nut, and some chrome pinstriping were used to customize the car in the photo.
