What is Tundra?

Tundra is formulated with tungsten to provide the same density as lead, but at a lower cost than tungsten itself. Tundra is non-toxic, and can be easily cut, drilled or sanded to shape. You can substitute tundra for lead wire in any of our car plans - just use a 7/16 inch drill bit.

How to Use this Product

Tundra is formed into 13/32 inch diameter rods, measuring approximately 1-3/8 inches long. Your 3.0 ounce shipment will contain three tundra rods.

Typically, 7/16 inch holes are drilled into the car body (see example below), and the tundra is glued into the holes - epoxy or hot glue adhesive is recommended. The tundra rods can be cut with wire cutters or with a fine-bladed saw. They can be also be drilled if needed.
