Rounded Body







Inspired by the top-fuel dragster, the RAIL is long and fast. This model has rounded edges to enhance the appearance.

In addition to the car kit and basic hand tools, you will need the following supplies to build THE RAIL:

• 1/4" Brad Point or Forstner drill bit (hardware store item)


• Coping saw or another type of saw that can cut a curve


• Flat and half round file, and a shoe rasp


• Wood chisels (1/4" and 1/2")


• 3-3/4 ounces of segmented lead weight with adhesive removed. These plans assume that each segment is 1/4 ounce and measures 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/8".


• Stripes and Flames decal sheet was used to customize the car in the photo
