Extended Speeder

Unlike Luke Skywalker's speeder, THE SPEEDER is real and you can watch it blast down the track.
In addition to the car kit and basic hand tools, you will need the following supplies to build THE SPEEDER:
- 1/8", 3/32", and 1/2" drill bit
- Countersink Drill Bit
- Shoe Rasp
- Coping Saw
- Wood chisel (1/2" or smaller)
- Pipe cutting tool (not required if using the engine kit - see below)
- 5 minute Epoxy
- Lead: 4-1/2" of 3/8" lead wire.
(The following items are available as an engine kit - Click Here)
- 7" of 7/16" Brass Tubing
- 2 - #6 x 3/4" Flathead machine screws
- 1 package 3/8" Wood Balls (Available at most craft stores. I used Lara’s Crafts #10166)
- 1 package 3/8" Flathead Plugs (Available at most craft stores. I used Lara’s Crafts #10025)
- Lead: Small, non-removable split shot fishing weight (Sporting goods store)
Stripes and Flames decal sheet was used to customize the car in the photo.
The extended wheel base can be created by either cutting new axle slots with two hacksaw blades, or by drilling axle holes with the Pro-Body Tool. Instructions and templates are provided in the Unique Car Plans booklet.
