Extended Rail - Beveled Body







Inspired by the top-fuel dragster, the RAIL is long and fast. This model has beveled edges to add a unique appearance.

In addition to the car kit and basic hand tools, you will need the following supplies to build THE RAIL:

• 7/16" or 1/2" Brad Point or Forstner drill bit (hardware store item)



• Coping saw or another type of saw that can cut a curve



• Flat and half round file, and a shoe rasp



• Wood chisels (1/4" and 1/2")



• 4 ounces of segmented lead weight with adhesive removed. These plans assume that each segment is 1/4 ounce and measures 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/8".



• Stripes and Flames and Custom Designs decal sheets were used to customize the car in the photo



• The extended wheel base can be created by either cutting new axle slots with two hacksaw blades, or by drilling axle holes with the Pro-Body Tool. Instructions and templates are provided in the Car Plans booklet.
