One front axle hole is drilled slightly higher so that the car only rides on three wheels (best performance).
Wheel base is 5-5/8 inches - the maximum possible for 1-1/4 inch diameter wheels. Thus, each axle is 11/16 inch from an end of the block.

Drilled Axle Holes, 4 Wheels On The Ground - For best performance, kits and blocks with axle holes are equipped with a raised wheel. If you prefer all four wheels on the ground, select this option.
Extended Block/Kit with Standard Slots - In some races, an extended wheel base is allowed as long as the original axle slots are present. Select this option if you want both extended holes and standard slots on the same block or kit (not available on some kits).
3/32 Inch Axle Holes for Awana Axles - Kits and blocks with axle holes are drilled with a #44 bit. This is too small for Awana axles. If you plan to use Awana axles, select this option and the holes will be drilled with a 3/32" drill bit.
