Pinewood Wizard Kit







You can be a Pinewood Wizard! With our easy to use kit you can host a "Pinewood Wizard Day", and prove to your group (or to yourself) what factors make a pine derby car go fast.

What We Provide

Our kit provides you with:

• Wizard Car - Pre-built and ready to go. Includes removable Air Brake.



• One set of Official BSA Speed Wheels and Speed Axles.



• One set of stock BSA wheels and axles.



• Three ounces of tungsten weight.



• Complete instructions for you, the Pinewood Wizard! We also include background information to help you explain the results.



• Pinewood Wizard Experiment Log that can be duplicated and distributed to participants.



• Wizard Day flier - Just edit (MS Word version available on internet - web address provided with kit), copy, and distribute.

What You Provide

You will need to provide:

• Race track.



• Timer on one lane of the track, accurate to one-thousandth of a second.



• Tube of graphite (or a liquid lube - this does speed up the event).



• Gap gauge (alignment tool, Pro-Axle Guide, or other).



• Copy of Pinewood Wizard Experiment Log for all participants (provided with kit, or can be downloaded in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format - web address provided with kit).



• Calculator.



• Pencils for participants.
